Site Use Instructions:
 

This site primarily uses PDF files to present information.  It is assumed users will be generally familiar with using PDF files, including searching text within a PDF, page navigation, and enabling and using bookmarks.

TEXT SEARCHING

Administrative Code (all sections)

Use the Search Box on the home page for the Regulations of Connecticut State Agencies / State Administrative Code. 

The Search Box is powered by the Google Search Appliance.  It will pull up a list of PDFs containing your search term. 

The Google Search Appliance does not highlight found search terms within PDF files.

To view your search term highlighted, click on the “text version” of the result. 

To view text in the retrieved PDF, open it, and use the “find” function (or CTRL-F) to find the term searched. 

Individual Titles and Section Series of the code

Open the PDF file for the entire Title Number or the PDF for sections of the Title you want.

Enable your PDF reader’s “find” or “search” capability (or try CTRL-F) to bring up a search field.  Your search will be limited to the open file. 

If you need to globally search the Administrative Code, use the search box on main Regulations page.

Recently Adopted Regulations

PDF files posted on the Recently Adopted Regulations page are not currently searchable.  Text searchable PDF or Word files may be added in the future.

Scroll through the Table of Recently Adopted Regulations (or use CTRL – F) to search the Table for a specific item.  Open the linked PDF.

Emergency Regulations

Typically, there are very few emergency regulations in effect at any given time.  You can simply view the posted file.

Notices of Intent to Adopt Regulations

Use your browser’s CTRL – F function to search for text in the Table of Notices of Intent.

Open the PDF file for the Notice you are interested in.  Enable your PDF reader’s “find” or “search” capability (or try CTRL-F) to bring up a search field.

BROWSING

Administrative Code (all sections)

You cannot browse the entire Regulations of Connecticut State Agencies / Administrative Code.  You can only browse Individual Titles or sections of a Title.

Individual Titles and Section Series of the code

Open the file and enable Bookmarks.  That is the easiest way to find a specific section number.

Or, scroll or page through the file to locate your pages of interest.

Or, you can use the “find” capability (or CTRL- F) to search for a particular term.

Recently Adopted Regulations

Scroll through the Table of Recently Adopted Regulations (or use CTRL – F) to search the Table for a specific item.  Open the linked PDF.

Emergency Regulations

Typically, there are very few emergency regulations in effect at any given time.  You can simply view the posted file.

PRINTNG PDF FILES

Some of the PDF files posted to this site are extremely large.  When you wish to print from a PDF posted here, insure that you specify in the print menu exactly which pages you wish to print.
